What would you say if I told you that you were the perfect being — without fault? Would you snigger because you know I’m cappin’ or would you nod in agreement because my words validate how you already feel about yourself? If you are perfect, here is the blue pill — you are most likely a HSMF. Check the list below to see if you can identify with any of these other habits.
- “Hello Narcissus.” Many HSMFs are narcissists and it’s called Narcissism for good reason. According to folklore, this chap was so high on his own ego trip that he fell in love with his reflection in a pool and kept staring at it till he died on that very spot. HSMFs only see what their eyes want to see. In fact, they should have their own blindness category. They struggle to acknowledge the legitimacy of others and project their desires as the truth on how others ought to be. Every conversation finds its way back to them — their experience, their version and the monotony of their dreary situation.
- Self-Love. Really? You’ll often hear them say; this is who I am, or they’ll tag their selfishness as self-love (or any other version of those self-serving platitudes.) I get it — self love is important but self-love is accepting yourself for who you are, knowing that…
