The Sun Never Rises or Sets, You are the One that Does

The great men before us once drew a map of our universe centred to the earth, and it was inconceivable that this could be otherwise. They sought logic, science and the sanctification of the divine to confirm it. And counter-arguments were deemed heresy, strong enough to die for.

However, other men put forward evidence, to show that we are not the centre of things but just a small part of it. A part so small, it would be deemed infinitesimal. The great men before us would not have this, but the evidence of the other men prevailed. And with the invention of finer tools we were able to see beyond the darkness of our minds. But our language would not change. For centuries it would stay the same. “The sun rises in the East and it sets in the West,” we’d say (and teach our children). But does the sun rise or set? No, it doesn’t. The sun stands still as we have now been made to believe. We are the ones rising and falling daily around it.
