You Are Immortal …
If only you can remember
Hitherto
Your new world is strange. There are many things to absorb as you grow within it. You are in the womb but you don’t know this. All you know are the things you can feel and see in this world. In time, you become familiar with the things that live with you in that enclosure and you form memories of your interaction with them. You define its days and nights by things only you and they can comprehend and somewhere in your yet unknown infant mind, you thought that would be forever. But one day, against your will, you are pushed out into a different world — one of blurry light, sounds, and strange people, and you are separated from those with whom you have shared eternal bonds. They say you are born blind and your eyes don’t see much when you open them into this new world and that it gradually learns to focus in time. But it isn’t only your eyes. Your memory would have to learn anew, all but forgetting the things that once were in the darkness of your old world which you now know as the womb.
Those 9 months were once your forever but here you are ready to live for another 90 years even though you don’t know it yet.
